Do you remember the song
“All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth?”
And how funny you looked without them?
And how weird it felt to stick your tongue between them?
Well, time marches on – and has been for quite a while.
Several months ago I was informed that a part of my anatomy needed replacing, prompting the above mentioned song to pop into my head. The following is my first attempt at songwriting – well, ok, lyric re-writing. I couldn’t help myself, but I promise not to do it again. Here goes;
“All I want for Christmas is a brand-new knee; a brand-new knee; yes a brand-new knee. All I want for Christmas is brand-new knee and maybe a new hip too!”
And I’m happy to say that my wish came true (just the knee). Who says Christmas is just for kids!
IN 2021 I RECEIVED A NEW HIP ON THE SAME SIDE, SO I HAVE ONE BIONIC LEG THAT WORKS VERY WELL! SO FAR, MY OTHER LEG IS HOLDING UP ON ITS OWN.
