I can’t believe how much time has slipped by since my last post. We were in Palm Springs for a ten day break. We had a great time, but the last few days were hot. One hundred degrees Fahrenheit. I found an open air swimming pool for lap swimming located near the Palm Springs high school. It opened at five-thirty am. I arrived about six, and couldn’t believe how many people were there. I got talking to some of the locals, who told me that they came for a swim before work.
We drove to Phoenix, Arizona, a three and a half hour drive across a barren, and in some places rocky landscape. About halfway, we came to a place called Quartsite. The main attraction was a big McDonalds, but I wandered around and took a few photos – I’m not much of a photographer, but these will give you an idea. Quartsite has many RV parks, which I’m told are full during the winter months. When we were there, most of the snowbirds had already left. Besides McDonalds, Quartsite has the Yacht Club to stop in for a cool one

Our reason for going to Phoenix was to see our new nephew – and his parents. We had a great time!
THE WHITE LIMOUSINE
It’s coming – really. We’ve just finished a final read-through. After the easter weekend, it goes for copy editing and formatting for publication. Once it gets through copy editing (minor grammatical, punctuation, etc) I’ll have a definite publication timeline.
I’m really pleased with The White Limousine, and I’m glad that I took the time to polish it up. I know that you’re going to enjoy it.
John
What was the music like at night at the Yacht club?
Well, it started off with Willie Nelson warming up the crown, although in that heat it wasn’t really necessary; then, Cowboy Copus and the Sidewinders rattled around for a while, but the highlight of the night was the Suarago Sisters singing the hit song from their new album, “Snakebite Blues”.
GREAT TO HEAR YOUR PUBLICATION IS SO CLOSE TO BECOMING A REALITY JOHN !!!!!!! VAL Date: Fri, 18 Apr 2014 19:03:53 +0000 To: voglov@hotmail.com
Congratulations John! I can’t wait to read it and give it a beloved spot on my bookcase.
Thank You Chris!
