Pink Flamingos

Remember the pink flamingo fad of the 70’s? You’d wake up one  morning to find a flock of plastic ones on your front lawn wishing you a Happy Birthday? Or, maybe you actually liked pink flamingos and you had a bunch as permanent lawn ornaments. This picture will bring back memories of those good old days, but take a closer look. Some of the flamingos are doing something quite remarkable that very few of us – if any – could manage. Have a look and think about it and post your guess.

  4. Balancing on one leg is increasingly difficult for me these days, and so is tucking my head under my armpit. You can forget the sleeping while standing scenario for me – just not possible! But how do they retract or collapse one leg (or both)? Where did it go? I certainly can’t do that either.
